Lagos, Nigeria – Popular Nigerian skitmaker Aloma Isaac, popularly known as Zicsaloma, has raised a heartbreaking alarm over the alleged inhumane treatment his critically ill mother received at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). According to his account, despite being in a life-threatening condition and already undergoing chemotherapy, his mother was denied entry and urgent care by LUTH staff.
Zicsaloma claims that after being referred back to LUTH from another facility, his frail mother was left stranded outside the hospital gates, as medical personnel reportedly demanded she undergo additional tests with a three-hour wait for results before a doctor would see her. Pleas from the distraught family fell on deaf ears, even as her condition worsened.
He described the ordeal as “heartless” and “void of compassion,” painting a grim picture of systemic negligence within Nigeria’s public healthcare institutions. Zicsaloma has since called on the government to investigate LUTH and bring accountability to the forefront.
As of now, LUTH has not publicly responded to the allegations.
